Can they can make this cost effective is what remains to be proven. I am encouraged by the progress and if they make it to market by 2024 I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Welcome to the site Matty! From what we've been able to gather they do think they'll produce this at a reasonable amount. There are many similar technologies but they have been difficult to bring to market for a variety of reasons and one is the cost. In this case, they're using a nickel foil that shouldn't create a great deal of cost. The real key here is lowering the size of the batteries and of course their weight. It's going to be fun to see how this turns out.
